Oh, hey lovers!

I’m a Cape Town based destination wedding photographer. Hold up! Before you run off, I shoot all over the world from London, Scotland and Italy to Australia and New Zealand so we can totally be friends! Okay excellent, now that you’re back, let’s continue.

I’ve been a photographer for a while now and I’ve explored pretty much every avenue there is although I’ve found what truly makes me happiest is photographing people in love. I’m fascinated with human connection and moments.

I want to be capturing the moments in between the moments, the real, joyous, unplanned, messy, adventitious moments, the ones you look back on once years have gone by and think “Yep, that’s why I picked ’em”.

I feel like having a photographer at your wedding shouldn’t just be “one of those things you have to do” it should be a part of the whole experience and an experience on its own too. While I do work hard, extremely hard actually, I also really enjoy having a great time and meeting new people. I’ve been fortunate enough to have a career that allows me to combine all my passions, art, meeting new people and travel. Without my incredible clients who put 100% of their trust in me, none of this would be possible.

So if you’re a fan of adventures and just having good ‘ol times then we’re probably going to get on just fine.

If you’re in the market for a new friend, drop me an email and let’s start your adventure!

Storytelling imagery

I’ve always enjoyed writing for myself, whether it be in a journal, online or even on my hands. Over time I’d come to realise that I enjoyed telling stories as well as stories others had told me.  I felt the need to share these stories with others. After all, it’s inherently human to want to share, we WANT to be heard. That’s where I come in, I’m here to tell your story.

“I smile like an idiot when I think about you”

What’s all this talk about moments?

I like to approach the wedding day in a very different way to most photographers.

You won’t see me creating moments, telling the bride to smile, or telling the groomsmen to “act” like they’re having a good time. We can all totally agree that stagnant and posed shots suck!  Looking at the camera with a forced smile on your face is NOT how you want to remember your wedding day.

I aim to capture the most meaningful moments of the day even when they may not be entirely obvious to everyone. This leaves you to be fully immersed in your wedding day experience and gives me the freedom to not only capture the way your wedding day looked but more so the way your wedding day felt.

What does being a destination wedding photographer even mean?

To me, being a destination wedding photographer is a whole lot more than just being able to travel the world and take photos. I’m privileged enough to live in one of the most beautiful cities on earth like Cape Town, South Africa but somehow, seeing more of this majestic floating rock we call our home is something I just cannot resist!

I’ve been awarded this opportunity to see how love is expressed by different people all over the world and that’s something not many people ever have the privilege of experiencing. At the same time, I’m able to see some of the most incredible places and combine it with the passion I have for creating images and sharing.
